I purchased this little vaccum about 3 months ago and I am so in love with it.. I am so pleased with its performance.. It is not a big vaccum cleaner but for a cordless it is marvelous. I really like the beaterbar and the suction is good. The charge time is also sufficient. Its great for a quick pick up in the kitchen and family room. It is so easy to use. My 6 year old grandson loves to use it. Its easy to clean and easy to take apart. And the price was great too. The only problem I see with this one is that it does not stand on its own but it does come with a hanger. I researched cordless vaccums before I ordered this one. I chose this model because of the versatility and ease of being able to switch from a floor vac to a hand vac. The suction is very powerful as others have said. However, I have a ceramic tile floor and as a floor vac, it can easily pick up dirt on the tile but not on the grout (between the tiles). I have to use it as a hand vac to get at the dirt between the tiles. I guess, as a floor vac, the brush increases the distance between the vac nose and the floor thus decreasing its effective suction power.
This model doesn't come with accessories but since it's quite difficult to clean nooks and crannies with the huge vac nose, I thought I should look up B&D accessories for it. I checked the B&D/Dewalt parts webpage but there were no accessories listed for the CFV1200. Since this model is the same size as other Dust Buster models, I ordered accessories meant for the other Dust Buster models --- they fit perfectly! I got the crevice tool, upholstery brush, soft brush and the crevice extension. Cleaning is so much more convenient with these tools. I can't understand why B&D didn't just include those since the CFV1200 housing already has that space (note the etching on the plastic housing that wasn't completely cut off) anyway to store at least 2 of the accessories I bought separately.
All in all, I am very happy with my CFV1200. The charge, 10-16 min, may be short for some people, but it's more than adequate for me (I live in a bachelor suite!). I make sure that I drain the battery though before I charge it since this model, unfortunately, uses a Ni-Cad battery. I wouldn't want to kill my battery in a few months by charging it repeatedly after a few minutes of use.

I had been looking for an appliance like this since one I had previously owed died. I had been to a few web sites and had only found it on two, and Amazon was cheaper than Wal-Mart and had free shipping. The only thing I liked better about my old one was that that the charger was pluged in and attached to the wall and you just lifted it off the charger to use, where this one has to be unpluged everytime you use it and then re-plugged. I am happy with both performance and price.Customer Review: Great floor vac!

I received this for Christmas, and I love it! I use it every day, and my 7-yr.-old daughter likes to use it also , so she's actually willing to help clean! I like to keep it plugged in whenever not in use, because after a couple rounds, the battery does run low, and then it won't work as well. I just keep it off in a corner in the dining room. Also, the carpet mode that makes the brush spin works MUCH better than the regular floor mode; I only use the carpet mode. Also when putting the hand vac back in the main component, grab the back with your fingers and press your thumbs on the hand vac, otherwise it's difficult getting it to click into place.Customer Review: Great for a few months, but not longer...

We bought this about six months ago as the primary vacuum in our very small 1 bedroom apartment with wall-to-wall carpeting. It was wonderful for the first few months, the cordless option was great and it worked fairly well on the carpet (it's no dyson, but it picked up most of the visible stuff). However, it hasn't held up very well. Even after cleaning the filter and pulling all the hair out of the beater bar, it has almost no suction. It tends to collect crap inside the mouth, and then either spit it back out behind, or drop it out as soon as you turn it off. It is also made out of cheap plastic, and part of it keeps falling off and has to be snapped back on almost every time we use it. It's probably fine as a secondary vacuum that dosen't get a lot of heavy use, but if you're looking for a primary vaccum, even for a small apartment, this one won't last long.
