This is a great DustBuster. The fact that it stays in its charger when not in use is great. With no batteries to recharge this appliance is ready whenever you need it. The AccuReach is very handy for getting at those annoying tight spaces that normal vacs miss. I'm a shopper (If you see my other reviews, you'll notice I only buy the best). And with all the information available online, whether it's professional reviews, or the ones like the one i'm writing now, they can change my opinion about a product from loving it to not-so-sure about it in just a few lines. So after wearing my little red Dirt Devil corded hand vac out to the point sparks were coming from the motor housing (I thought Red meant shop-vac equivolent... Not so) I started looking for a $50 or less cordless that could live up to my Lofty expectations. I thought I'd decided on the quirky looking Pivot Nose Black & Decker because it was so well reviewed, but then my parents got one for xmas. Being the type that demands the best, but also individuality, I started searching once again. I'm so glad I did! This is a great looking hand vac. It feels great in the hand, the extendable nose is very handy, as are the two onboard attachments. The best thing by far is the slide switch on the side that gives more suction after two quick flicks. I appreciate the double filters, but I don't have allergies, so sometimes it's just a little annoying cleaning them out every other time I empty the canister. It's a small price to pay for Style, Power, Convenience, and Individuality...Customer Review: This thing sure likes to Bust loose on the Dust...

I initially bought this from target, but the suction power on this vacuum was far below par. Also the battery power is horrible. I bought it because Black and Decker was a well established household brand, but this piece utterly disappointed me. I often wonder if Black & Decker hires professional reviewers to praise their vacuums on this website and other online retailers. I say this because the reviews tend to average 4 out of 5 stars (Amazon & Target), yet my experience with these Black & Decker models is the exact opposite. In my opinion, they are a waste of money. I've bought two different models (CHV1586 most recently) and these pieces of junk won't hold a charge for more than a minute after 3 months of consistent daily use. It's so frustrating, especially when the batteries are nearly impossible to find and can't be replaced for less than the price of a new vacuum. Avoid Black & Decker hand vacs!
